Online courses and regulated qualifications
- Workplaces: employers must provide adequate first aid. Your first aid needs assessment decides how many trained first aiders you need and to what level.
- Blended courses: the regulated TQUK awards are completed in two parts. The online part 1 is followed by a short practical assessment.
- First responders: online courses are a great way to refresh skills, but they do not replace qualifications such as FREC that need practical assessment with an approved centre.
- Practise with the kit you carry: train with the same tourniquets, AED trainers and manikins you use for real.
