Vented or non-vented chest seals?
Chest seals are occlusive dressings for penetrating chest wounds. Vented seals have a one-way valve that lets air escape; non-vented seals are a simple occlusive layer. Many clinical guidelines now favour vented seals, so check your own protocols.

Do chest seals stick to wet skin?
Modern hydrogel adhesives are designed to stick to sweaty or bloody skin. Wipe the area first where you can.
